Frequency
The name is the pattern.
Frequency is a fine timber grain in Nut, Mahogany, Wengé or Silver, drawn into narrow vertical fluting so the whole surface reads as a run of slender battens. Under side light it throws a rhythm of shadow across the wall; under flat light it settles into a fine, even texture.
